KK Null, accomplished composer, guitarist, singer, electronicist and drummer, was born in Tokyo, Japan on September 13th 1961. Null began his career as an artist in 1981 at Min Tanaka's "Mai-Juku" workshop, where he studied the art of Butoh, and started his music career by improvising on the guitar.

Since then KK Null has gained worldwide recognition for his solo works as well as his "progressive hardcore trio", Zeni Geva, which has worked with Steve Albini, and produced more than 10 albums, recording two John Peel Sessions for the BBC. Zeni Geva has toured numerous times in Europe and the United States, as well as Australia New Zealand. All the while, KK Null has worked on his solo career and collaborated with other musical innovators such as Steve Albini, Merzbow, John Zorn, Fred Frith, James Plotkin, Jim O"Rourke, Keiji Haino, Seiichi Yamamoto (Boredoms), Otomo Yoshihide, Jon Rose, Atau Tanaka, Zbigniew Karkowski, Philip Samartzis, David Brown, Masonna, Incapacitants, Astro and more. KK Null has also performed as main support for artists such as Sonic Youth and Mike Patton.

KK Null has been invited to perform at international festivals such as "Hyperstrings" in Vienna, "What is music?" in Melbourne, "Beyond Music and Sound" in Los Angeles, "Beyond Innocence" in Kobe, "Exiles" in Berlin, "Sonar" in Barcelona, "International Sound Art Festival” in Mexico City, "Sergey Kuryokhin International Festival" in St.Petersburg & Moscow and "X-peripheria" in Budapest, "Totally Huge New Music Festival" in Perth and his new project, Monster DVD was invited at "Batofar Cherche... Tokyo" festival in Paris. Zeni Geva was invited at "All Tomorrow's Parties UK."

To date, KK Null has released more than 100 titles inluding bands, solo recordings and collaborations, in his 20 year music career.
